Healthy Recipes

The need for living a healthy lifestyle for maintaining general health and preventing chronic diseases has been well established. A healthy lifestyle is pretty simple to achieve - one does not need to do anything "crazy" to consider a healthy lifestyle. I will say that a certain amount of independent thinking is needed to separate truth from fiction generally in most modern health advice currently being delivered.

The most important thing you should do is eat well. Avoid toxins inside your food as much as possible and consume a lot of fresh fruit, veggies and cereals; exercise moderately a couple of times per week; avoid smoking, including secondhand smoke; and prevent gaining too much weight (which should come naturally to eat right and exercise). Even though it is not always possible to eat all Organic food - the EWG recommends 12 vegatables and fruits that should be organic due to their higher levels of pesticide residue. Avoiding environmental toxins as much as you can is an essential part of achieving the home chef.

Our modern lifestyle is very convenient - however it can also be extremely unhealthy. Many of us eat too many unhealthy food and too few vegetables and fruit; we rarely exercise; so when we develop chronic conditions including diabetes, we count on conventional medications to generate us feel better - however these medications often have devastating negative effects. Instead of accepting the importance of living a healthy lifestyle for us and for future generations, we continue with our bad habits - then take potent, toxic medication to deal with our inevitable symptoms.

Obviously, not all aspects of living a healthy lifestyle are in our control. We intend to be exposed to certain toxins whether we like it or not. But many of these factors are absolutely in your control. Whenever we can, we should be responsible and make the proper choices.

This is why it's so important to be sure you eat correctly as the key factor in achieving a healthy LIFESTYLE.

I say "lifestyle" because things i know is that "eating well" can often be something a person does with resentment simply because they feel "sacrifice" is required to adopt the kitchen connoisseur.

Ughhh! A pain at all!
